Dr. Heidari has been a faculty member in the Department of Biology at Yazd University since 2005 and previously served in the Genetic Group at Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences from 2001 to 2005. Since 2008, he has been the Head of the Department of Biology at Yazd University, contributing significantly to academic leadership, research, and student mentorship. His teaching expertise includes Basic Genetics, Molecular Evolution, Genetic Engineering, Bioinformatics, and Medical Genetics.

Research Interest

Dr. Heidari’s research covers molecular genetics, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and the molecular basis of genetic disorders. His lab experience includes gene cloning, PCR techniques, mitochondrial respiratory chain analysis, real-time PCR, and recombinant protein studies. He has also contributed to research on erythropoietin’s effects on Frataxin at the Medical University of Vienna.
