Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Heidari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Yazd University, Iran. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, in 2008. His research focuses on molecular genetics, genetic engineering, and bioinformatics. Dr. Heidari has been a faculty member in the Department of Biology at Yazd University since 2005 and previously served in the Genetic Group at Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences from 2001 to 2005. Since 2008, he has been the Head of the Department of Biology at Yazd University, contributing significantly to academic leadership, research, and student mentorship. His teaching expertise includes Basic Genetics, Molecular Evolution, Genetic Engineering, Bioinformatics, and Medical Genetics.
